Mr Cuddles Very Important Blog – No.2
Location: Bear Island
One night, as I couldn’t sleep from eating too much chocolate before bedtime, a huge storm
blew up on Bear Island.
I could hear the wind howling, and huge violent waves crashing onto the rocks close by my
little cave.
In the morning I rushed out to look, and you’ll never guess what had washed
up on Bear Island? A huge, rather battered wooden crate!
I called my friend Wally Walrus to help me open it (Wally is very big and
strong!) and we couldn’t believe what was inside.... lots and lots of books – in fact the
Complete Set of Encyclopaedia Britannica. This is the largest encyclopaedia in the world
(probably). There were volumes and volumes of books on every subject in the whole universe,
from A-Z.
I LOVE books, so I began to read...and read...and read! I had just finished Volume Z when I
realised I had eaten my very last piece of chocolate egg. I now knew EVERYTHING I would
ever need to know in the whole world!
Did I tell you I have a great memory? If only I could remember my Big Mission!
Oh yes! To find Claire. It was time to leave Bear Island!
